Air pollution. This is the addition of substances in the air to a point that its purity is destroyed thus becoming dangerous to human beings to breathe. The major air pollutants are gaseous wastes like oxides of carbon, sulphur and nitrogen and suspended solids of dust, smoke, soot and tar.
