WHAT IS WILDLIFE SANCTUARIES?

Wildlife sanctuaries are areas that have been set aside for the protection of specific animals or birds.

For example, Mwaluganje National Reserve in Kwale County is an Elephant Sanctuary. Tana River Primate Reserve is a Baboon and Monkey Sanctuary where species not found in other parts of Kenya are kept. Also, Lake Baringo Reptile Park where various types of snakes are kept.
