The following are physical condition which favour cocoa farming in Ghana
- High and well-distributed rainfall (1000 – 1500 mm)
- high temperature (21-30 centigrade)
- protection from strong winds that may blow away pods
- deep well-drained soil
- lo1w altitude above sea level (0-750 m)
- presence of a sunny period for drying
- good policies and strong support from the government
- high prices of cocoa which they fetch at world market
